Çб³Æ¯Â¡ Maple Leaf¡¯s Foreign Nationals Schools (K-9) and its High Schools (grades 10-12) offer British Columbia, Canada programs, taught entirely in English by British Columbia certified teachers. These programs are inspected annually on-site and are certified by the Ministry of Education of British Columbia. Students are enrolled as British Columbia students. Students in these schools complete the same courses, meet the same learning outcomes, are assessed in the same manner by the same standards as all British Columbia students. High school students write the same provincial examinations and graduate with the same British Columbia high school diploma as students residing in British Columbia, Canada. 2007-08 BC Teaching Staff at the Dalian Maple Leaf International School: Jinshitan High School Campus In addition, Chinese students complete extra Chinese courses, such as Chinese History, Geography, Political Science and Mandarin, and graduate with a Chinese high school diploma as well. These Maple Leaf programs meet all British Columbia curriculum and Offshore School Program standards, as well as the inspection requirements of China¡¯s Education Authorities. Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) is provided for foreign students. Maple Leaf¡¯s Chinese Elementary (K-6) and Middle (grades 7-9) Schools offer quality Chinese programs that are inspected and certified by appropriate Chinese Education Authorities. English as a Second Language (ESL) is provided.

Maple Leaf¡¯s High School (Grade 10-12) programs and its Foreign Nationals Schools (K-9) are taught in English by British Columbia, Canada certified teachers. These programs are inspected and certified by British Columbia¡¯s Ministry of Eductation. Grade 12 graduates receive both the Chinese and British Columbia graduation certificates.

As international students, who have completed a Western (British Columbia, Canada) high school program in English, graduates from Maple Leaf High Schools are actively recruited by Western universities.

Approximately 185 British Columbia, Canada certified teachers are currently teaching in Maple Leaf Schools in China.
